For centuries peppermint has been used to soothe the digestive system and freshen breathe.  Peppermint has an energizing and fresh mint aroma.  This essential oil has been studied for its possible health benefits and for its ability to help enhance mental alertness.  Peppermint is a great essential oil to use in water or tea.  You can even add a drop to your favorite hot chocolate for a really nice treat. 

Peppermint is considered a "hot" oil and should be diluted when applying topically.  Avoid using peppermint essential oil around the eyes.
